This year started off with a bang! I took a trip over the pond to the USA, and got to meet some amazing women and men- fellow creatives, who share my passion for this art form.
Delaware, Pennsylvania and Washington whirled past in a couple of weeks and then the absolute joy of visiting the town I lived in for 11 years, and staying with dear friends and family of my heart... what a trip! I've realised that I left a good portion of my heart in the USA with the people that I was lucky enough to surround myself with for that decade, and 3 weeks wasn't nearly enough time- especially after almost 6 years apart, so I'm already planning the 2025 trip back there again, and I can't wait. For those I couldn't catch up with- I'm so sorry! Time just wasn't on my side. I'll do better next time. There have been bubbles of gratitude tickling up from my heart, knowing that this art- that I love so completely, allows me to head back and spend time with my USA peeps, and connects our amazing community across the globe! What a phenomenal thing to be a part of. It makes me even more grateful for the wonderful students and friends that I have here in Melbourne too. Thank you all so much for being such an important part of my path. Right! Classes to add and dreams of classes-to-come to put to paper, and then I'll see you over a cuppa and a good hammer at Gilded Poppy Makery!

AuthorI've always been mesmerised by shiny rocks, gorgeous artwork and the play of texture against my fingertips. I guess it was a no-brainer that I'd end up doing what I do- although it was a ridiculously circuitous route I took to get here! Archives |
